Privacy Policy
Last updated:
This Privacy Policy explains how personal data of visitors to the website at peczkowski.dev (the “Website") is processed. I value transparency — so I collect as little data as possible and use it only for the purposes described below.
1. Data Controller
The controller of personal data is Piotr Pęczkowski, operating under the brand peczkowski.dev[, address: [ADDRESS], VAT ID (NIP): [NIP] — complete if you run a registered business]. Contact: kontakt@peczkowski.dev.
2. What data and for what purpose
- Contact form — your name, email address, optionally a phone number (if you provide one) and message content. Purpose: replying to your enquiry and handling correspondence. Providing a phone number is voluntary — it only enables phone contact if you wish.
- Technical data — IP address and submission date (stored in the message). Purpose: security and protection against abuse (e.g. spam).
- Traffic analytics — anonymous or aggregated visit statistics, collected only after you give consent, in a privacy-friendly way (no profiling, no cross-site tracking).
3. Legal bases for processing
- Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR — your consent (e.g. sending the form, enabling analytics in the cookie banner).
- Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — the controller's legitimate interest, i.e. handling correspondence, ensuring Website security and preventing spam and abuse.
4. Cookies and analytics
The Website uses only necessary technical mechanisms (e.g. remembering your choice in the consent banner in the browser's local storage). Analytics cookies are activated only after you give consent. The planned analytics tool is a privacy-friendly solution ([Plausible or Matomo]) that does not use data for advertising or cross-site tracking. You can manage consent via the cookie banner and change your choice by clearing site data in your browser.
5. Retention period
- Form messages — for as long as necessary to handle your enquiry and any further correspondence, then until potential claims become time-barred.
- Analytics data — according to the analytics tool's configuration (aggregated statistics).
6. Recipients of data
Data may be entrusted to trusted processors only to the extent necessary to operate the Website:
- Hosting provider — OVH (the server hosting the Website and email).
- Analytics provider — if you consent to analytics.
Data is never sold or shared for marketing purposes with third parties.
7. Transfers outside the EEA
Data is generally processed within the European Economic Area. If a chosen analytics tool processed data outside the EEA, this would only happen under appropriate safeguards required by the GDPR (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses).
8. Your rights
- Right of access to your data and to obtain a copy.
- Right to rectification, erasure or restriction of processing.
- Right to data portability.
- Right to object to processing based on legitimate interest.
- Right to withdraw consent at any time (without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal).
- Right to lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO, ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw, Poland).
9. Voluntary nature of providing data
Providing data is voluntary but necessary to reply to an enquiry sent via the contact form. Without an email address, no reply can be sent.
10. Profiling and automated decisions
Your data is not used for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects.
11. Security
The Website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and the contact form is protected against spam and bots (including anti-bot mechanisms and submission rate limiting). I take care to protect data against unauthorised access.
12. Changes to this Policy
This Policy may be updated due to technical or legal changes. The current version is always published on the Website, together with the date of the last update.
13. Contact
